Q. What is the purpose of doing an Economic Development Strategic Plan ?
A. 1. To create a cohesive strategic framework for Brant's Economic Development Program with a clear direction and goals towards realizing a common economic vision.
2. To provide the development of specific programs and projects to meet the overall objectives of: business growth, retention, attraction of new investment, job creation and to diversify the economic base of The County of Brant.
Q. Who has been retained to do the Strategic Plan ?
A. WCM Consulting Inc. Mr.George Schrijver (Principal)
Q. How long is it going to take to complete ?
A. The target completion date is March 30, 2010
Q. Will the public be given an opportunity to provide input ?
A. Yes - their will be various ways and means for the public to contribute - via community workshops (January 2010), email (ourfuture@brant.ca) website, phone, fax, one on one meetings with stakeholders etc.
